About Emily
Emily was born in March 2005. Her karate journey began at age eight with KimNik Karate. After years of training, she now has her 1st Kyu. Emily is a Zone 3 (Fraser Valley) medalist and a provincial medalist in Kata and Kumite. In 2018, she made the Zone 3 team for the BC Winter Games, where she won bronze in Kumite. Furthermore, she competed in the 2022 National Championships for Team British Columbia in Kata.
Throughout her years in karate, she has competed and medalled at Provincial Championships, Canada Open Championships, Zone 3 Championships, Sato Cup Tournaments, and Steveston Tournaments.
Emily's passion for coaching and instructing began when she became a Program Assistant at age 12. In 2021, she became an Assistant Instructor after being National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Instructor Beginner trained and NCCP Competition Introduction trained.
