Here is the old Program Assistant list. We would like to thank them all for their great job in helping and teaching in our dojo. 

  • 2nd  Degree Black Belt from Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA)

  • Born in September 2000

  • Started karate at the age of 8

  • National Championships - Team Kata - Bronze (2017)

  • First person from our dojo to be in Team Canada and to bring first medal from Canadian National Championship 

  • Provincial medalist in both Kata and Kumite

  • Regional judge

  • 2013 Female Sportsmanship Award from Karate BC

  • Honor roll student

  • Current First Aid and CPR certified

  • Police records including vulnerable sector is checked every 3 years

Kimya Najafi

Anekah Teja

  • 1st degree Black Belt from Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA)

    Born in June 2002

  • Started karate at the age of 9

  • National Championships - Team Kata - Bronze (2017)

  • Zone and Provincial medalist in both Kata and Kumite

  • Regional Referee

  • BC Team member in both kata and Kumite in 2014

  • Honor roll student

  • Police records including vulnerable sector is checked every 3 years

Chandan Teja

  • 1st degree Black Belt from Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA)

  • Started karate at the age of 11

  • National Championships - Team Kata - Gold (2017)

  • Zone and Provincial medalist in both Kata and Kumite

  • Regional judge

  • Honor roll student

  • Current CPR certified

  • Police records including vulnerable sector is checked every 3 years

Swaraj Aravindhan

  • Brown Belt

  • Born in January 2001

  • Started karate at the age of 11

  • National Championships - Team Kata - Gold (2017)

  • Zone and Provincial medalist in both Kata and Kumite

  • BC Games Male Sportsmanship Award from Karate BC in 2014

  • Regional judge

  • Honor roll student

  • Police records including vulnerable sector is checked every 3 years

Mihir Budshah

  • 1st degree Black Belt from Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA)

  • Born in June 2001

  • Started karate at the age of 9

  • Zone and Provincial medalist in both Kata and Kumite

  • Regional judge

  • Police records including vulnerable sector is checked every 3 years
